Conozca a Algunos de los Miembros de la Familia BioTek

In a world where people are more mobile and transient than ever, we feel the unusual longevity of our workforce only adds to our corporate uniqueness. The average BioTek employee’s length of service is greater than 10 years. Among our Vermont workforce it's even higher at over 11.5 years. Of those Vermonters, 24% have been here 20 or more years! We feel this longevity demonstrates not only the loyalty and dedication of our employees, but also their view of BioTek as an integral part of their lives - like a family. It's difficult to convey in words the feeling that employees have about working at BioTek, but most agree it's like no other company they've worked for.

Why do you enjoy living and working in Vermont?
I love the beauty of Vermont. It is beautiful state with four amazing seasons…well spring/mud season is questionable. There is always something to do. A fantastic lake, mountains for hiking or skiing, bike paths. You can be as busy as you like or do as little as you like and just sit back and enjoy the view.

Who is your living hero?
I think that it is important to make a distinction between the heroic figures that we value and the role models that have impacted our lives.

One of my living heroes is Aung San Suu Kyi - The pro-democracy campaigner and Peace Nobelprice Winner Suu Kyi was 15 years under house arrest in her native Burma (officially known as Myanmar). Although she could seek refuge abroad she chooses to stay, even to death. I look up to her as someone who even tightens up her grip on life and her cause with every personal tragedy that happened.

Role models in my life were my Dad and my Grandma. Both gave important advices in a very humorous and wise way and taught me a lot of things. (Who else got a drill hammer for Christmas). And what is even more important, they’ve never let me down.
