How are BioTek readers able to read larger diameter wells?
Typically our readers measure a single point in the center of each well. Using Gen5 software, an area scan (a grid pattern of multiple measurements in a single well) can be made for larger well diameters of the 6- to 48-well plates. Both the individual measurements and the average for the entire well are reported.
